FIGO of NYC will be be at Lipgloss tonight for a DJ tour in celebration of their official A Place To Bury Strangers and Boxer Rebellion Remixes. They toured as opening DJ’s for The Faint’s last tour, and as a band have played with The Presets, Foo Fighters, …Trail of Dead & She Wants Revenge. Their band & remixes have been praised by RCRDLBL, Brit Rock Daily and countless others. Both boyhollow & Chase Dobson will also be present to titillate your dancing neurons. There will be NO raise in cover for this special event!
Starting at 9PM, we’ll hold the Official CD Release Party for Blonde Redhead’s new album “Penny Sparkle.” We’ll listen to the album, and at midnight we’ll have CD’s, vinyl and the Deluxe CD Package of thenew album to give away. We’ll also be giving away tix to Burning: The Mogwai Movie (Bluebird, 9/23) and the Midnight Movies@The Esquire (This week: Ghostbusters).

Next week, Lipgloss hosts Ginger Perry’s B-Day Bash w/ a special birthday DJ Set, and on Oct. 1st, Lipgloss is especially excited to bring NYC dance-party legend Alex English in to guest DJ. His party Girls & Boys has been around even longer than Lipgloss and has hosted a veritable who’s who of guests. Among them Justice, MSTRKRFT, Bloody Beetroots, Simian Mobile Disco, Chromeo and the list keeps going.
