option4 aka Brennen Bryarly accepts offer of Resident DJ at Lipgloss

Lipgloss Resident DJ Chase Dobson has been asked by Tympanik Audio (http://tympanikaudio.com/) to create an album of all original, never released solo production work, so after Residents party at Lipgloss on 02.25.11, he will be stepping down as resident DJ to focus on that. We are very excited to announce, however, that option4 aka Brennen Bryarly (http://www.facebook.com/pages/option4/) has accepted the offer of replacing him. option4 has played Lipgloss numerous times and has always been a crowd favorite. We will miss him, but wish Chase well and look forward to having option4 on the decks with us!

The Miike Snow show at The Bluebird Theater sold out, so it has now been moved to The Ogden Theater. Not to worry, Lipgloss friends, Miike Snow will still be holding their Official After-Party at Lipgloss and will still be playing an exclusive DJ set for you!

Join us at Lipgloss on Friday, April 9th as we welcome MIIKE SNOW to the Lipgloss DJ stage.

After they rock you at their show at the Bluebird Theater, Miike Snow will be heading on down to Lipgloss to rock you on our dance-floor! Miike Snow has captured enormous attention with their single “Animal,” which has been remixed by Fake Blood, Treasure Fingers, Crookers, Peter Bjorn & John and many others.

This will be your chance for an exciting and intimate experience with Miike Snow that their crowds at Lollapalooza, Coachella & Sasquatch will only be able to wish for.

We’ll also have tickets to The Big Pink w/ A Place To Bury Strangers & boyhollow (Bluebird Theater 4/11) and the Midnight Movies@The Esquire Theater to give away to a few lucky winners.

DJ Soup has been made an offer he can’t refuse and will be assuming a weekly Friday DJ residency at the Sportsbook in downtown Denver.

In his absence, Chase Dobson aka c.db.sn will be stepping into a weekly DJ’ing role at Lipgloss w/ founder & resident DJ boyhollow. While Soup will be missed, we are excited at what Chase has been and will be bringing to the Lipgloss dance-floor, and we know you will be too!

Announcing Lipgloss' New Resident DJs

I am excited to announce that I have decided on two of Denver’s finest DJs to replace co-founder Tyler “Danger” Jacobson as resident’s at Lipgloss.

Starting on September 4th, DJs Soup & c.db.sn aka Chase Dobson will be stepping in to fill Tyler’s mighty shoes. Both are skilled & practiced DJs who are knowledgeable in many areas of music, and I hope you will continue to support Lipgloss as we continue bringing you Denver’s finest dance party!

For those who have expressed concern, we are dedicated to preserving the Lipgloss ethos; we will not be turning into an all “electronic” or any other single genre music night. We will continue to play indie, rock, soul & all the other genres of music that have made Lipgloss stand out from other club-nights.
