Hockey, a synth-fun dance band freshly transplanted from Los Angeles to Portland (by way of Spokane).
Synth keyboards and white boys are taking back the dance scene. It’s very reminiscent of ‘80s dance music, but doesn’t have the commercial sound, and there’s a twist of urban hip-hop involved. There are risks and imperfections, but those elements add interest and increase the groove factor. Hockey just released their debut album, “Mind Chaos.” — Eureka Reporter
