c.db.sn is the solo musical output of Denver, CO Producer/DJ/Engineer Chase Dobson. For over a decade Chase has been producing music that is largely textural and rhythmic, borrowing from shoegazer rock and industrial by way of IDM. In early 2000, Chase got his start playing varied breakbeat styles in Tampa Florida as one half of duo f(x): function. Chase had the opportunity to play shows opening for Machinedrum, Funkstorung, and Team Shadetek. He moved to Denver Colorado mid-2006 and began producing music solo, working within many electronica genres with a common element that that incorporates wide, warm enveloping textures set against cold, technical, mechanical beats. Over the past 2 years c.db.sn has played live PA and DJ sets with longstanding experimental label/collctive Backwards Records, has performed at the 2009 Transistor Festival, The 2010 Communikey Festival in Boulder, CO and has taken residency as DJ Friday nights at Denver’s foremost dance party, Lipgloss, at La Rumba.
